Right-back Daniel Opare will leave FCA on a loan basis, after he had already been allowed to sit out training with FC Augsburg and hence did not travel to the club’s training camp in Marbella.
The 26-year-old Ghanaian will spend the rest of the season with second-tier French side RC Lens, the current league leaders. Both clubs have agreed not to disclose the situation with his wages.
“We have now given Daniel Opare his wish to move after he was allowed to stop training with the team,” said FCA chief executive Stefan Reuter. “Daniel hopes that moving clubs will give him the important game time that will help his development and will allow him to live nearer to his family in Paris. We wish him all the best, both on and off the pitch.”
