Day six in Alicante has drawn to a close for FC Augsburg. The players participated in two training sessions although Julian Schieber has had to leave the camp early.
In glorious sunshine on Wednesday afternoon, FCA coach Manuel Baum led a training session which focused on various styles of play. Jeffrey Gouweleeuw and Martin Hinteregger returned to training, Felix Götze suffered a knock and was only able to participate in part of the section.
For the afternoon session, the FCA coaching team split the squad into two teams for a special session. Team Gregoritsch and Team Baier lined up to face each other in a series of challenges. Team Gregoritsch, made up of Fredrik Jensen, Fabian Giefer, Jozo Stanic, Felix Schwarzholz, Romario Roesch, Georg Teigl, Michael Gregoritsch, Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker, Kilian Jakob, Christoph Kanker, Simon Asta and assistant coach Michael Wimmer, lost the challenges. As a forfeit, the team all had to jump into the hotel’s unheated swimming pool.
