Sad news for Julian Schieber and FC Augsburg: On Wednesday, our new signing from Hertha Berlin had to undergo knee surgery in the Hessingpark Clinic after having experienced some problems in the team’s friendly against Würzburger Kickers. A small free body in his left knee joint was removed in the operation.
“The doctors have informed us that the operation was a success,” said Stefan Reuter, FCA sporting director: “So we’d like to wish Julian all the best for his recovery and hope he can get fit again soon with a precise training programme.”
“My first few weeks at FCA have been very positive. Unfortunately this injury is going to set me back a bit, especially with it coming during pre-season. But I’m maintaining a positive outlook and I’m sure that I will come back stronger. I will have the best help possible, I know that much,” said Julian Schieber following the successful operation.
