In January, Raphael Framberger tore his ACL, but after months on the sidelines, made his comeback during the 2-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt . The right back spoke to FCA Fan-TV about his comeback and the next game against SC Freiburg this coming Saturday (21st September at 15:30 CEST).
“It was a really important victory for us all,” said Raphael Framberger, describing the positivity in the camp after they gained their first win of the season. “You saw how relieved we all were.” The right back managed to grab his first appearance after a long lay-off with injury, coming straight in to the starting XI and operating down the right hand flank for the full 90 minutes as if he’d never been gone. “I’m just really happy to be back playing again, and that we won,” said the defender.
Framberger and his teammates want to carry this momentum through to the game against SC Freiburg now. With nine points from four games, Freiburg are in great form and seem to be on cloud nine at the moment. “It’s always difficult going to Freiburg: they have a great team currently and will play with confidence in their home ground,” explained Framberger. The defender made it clear, however, that: “it will be a difficult game, but we won’t go down without a fight.”
