A Finn has come to FCA – FC Augsburg have secured the services of Finland international Fredrik Jensen. The 20-year-old midfielder joins Augsburg from Dutch club FC Twente and has signed a five-year contract, running up until 30th June 2023. Both clubs have agreed to keep the details of the transfer private.
“We’re delighted that it’s all gone to plan with Fredrik Jensen. He’s a talented young player, who we’re convinced will develop further in the familiar settings here,” says sporting director Stefan Reuter.
“As a young lad, you always dream of playing in one of the top European leagues. With my transfer to FC Augsburg, I’m now a huge step closer to fulfilling my dream and playing in the Bundesliga. I can’t wait to embark on this new challenge and I want to do all I can to help the team to reach its goals,” says the new signing Jensen.
The attacking midfielder made 30 appearances for FC Twente in the Eredivisie, scoring five goals in the process. Jensen has made six appearances for the Finnish national team and scored two goals in those games.
