Schmidt: “We’re just going to have to play our trump cards.”

After the home victory over Eintracht Frankfurt (2-1), winning them their first three points of the season, preparations have already begun for the next game away at SC Freiburg on Saturday 21st September (15:30 CEST). Head coach Martin Schmidt wants to continue picking up points, and speaks about... ...winning their last game: “Such a victory is of course a huge relief and can also be a real boost. But it doesn’t mean we can now sit back and relax, the hard work continues.” ...Raphael Framberger’s successful return from injury: “We’re absolutely delighted that he’s back. After he made a great impression in the game against Schaffhausen, there was no doubt in our minds that he was ready to start. But this is also the case for a number of players. Jan Morávek and Alfred Finnbogason both made their first starts of the season and instantly had good performances.” ...injuries: “Jeffrey Gouweleeuw and Iago are gradually returning to team training and are already quite far along in their rehabilitation.
