Schmidt: "We've put together a nice little run of form"

Andre Hahn: “We really wanted to come out here and win today and we did a great job. The events of the game definitely played into our hands, and I’m glad I managed to score a goal. It was an important win that gave us a lot of self-confidence. The fans gave us a great atmosphere.”
Philipp Max: “It was an important game. We took an important step with the win and defended with passion. The red card helped us out, because after that we had the game under control. It was something special for me personally to score two games running. I’m glad that I can continu helping the rest of the team. Also breaking the two records is very special, as we like these kinds of statistics. The spectators were the 12th man once again, and made it very fun.”
Florian Niederlechner: “We are making good progress. We played and scored today as a team, and that’s why we won. But now we have a tough away game against Köln.
Jeffrey Gouweleeuw: “We played well from the start and had a good game. The win today was an important step in the right direction. We just need to rely on each other and we can get the points next week in Köln. Big games against rivals are always important. The fans really support us, and I’m glad we were able to give them three points .
Martin Schmidt: “I heard after the game that today was the 200th home goal and the 50th home win in the Bundesliga, so this is a special day. We took the momentum from the game against Paderborn and made a lot of plans. The first goal helped to unlock the Hertha defence, and the whole team were in great form. We’ve put together a nice little run of form and now have three clean sheets in four games. These are important cornerstones for our development. Now in Köln we can look forward to another important game, where we want to continue our run. But we can’t let ourselves think this will happen naturally, as setbacks happen very fast. So we have to stay focused and tackle each task the same way”
Ante Covic: "It's a very bitter defeat for us, I'm annoyed that we did not show anything of what we set out to do, we were lacklustre. We should have cleared the ball before the first goal, and for the second goal Rune Jarstein had a rare lapse and the opponents got us off to a good start. It was a deserved win for Augsburg, and just before half-time a second-half strike could have given us the second wind, but instead FCA scored their goals at the right time."
