Raphael Framberger undergoes successful knee surgery
FCA’s Raphael Framberger had a successful operation at the Hessingpark-Clinic on Wednesday. The 23-year-old ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in matchday 18’s loss to Düsseldorf.
With surgery now out of the way, Framberger is optimistic about the months of rehab ahead: “The doctors said after the surgery that everything went well. Now I want to crack on with rehab as soon as possible to get back to full fitness.”
It’s already the second ACL injury for Framberger in his left knee. The FC Augsburg youth product will miss the remainder of the 2018-19 season, having made seven Bundesliga appearances at right back so far. He also featured in the DFB-Pokal win over 1. FSV Mainz 05.
