Moravek and Janker extend deals with FCA
FC Augsburg have secured new deals with midfielder Jan Moravek and defender Christoph Janker, both of whose contracts were due to expire at the end of the summer. 31-year-old Janker will remain with the club for another season until 30th June 2018. The Czech man, Moravek, who has been at FCA since January 2012, extends his deal until 30th June 2020.
"We're delighted that we will be able to count on these two long-time FCA players in the future," said Stefan Reuter, FCA's director of sport. "Christoph Janker is a true team player, who puts the team's success ahead of his own and someone we can always rely on to give 100% in his performances," said Reuter in praise of the German. "Jan Moravek is also at the forefront of this team. He is a player with fantastic qualities who will benefit us a lot in the coming years."
"I've been at FCA for several years and my wife and I feel so happy here that Augsburg has become a second home to us. That's why I'm thrilled that I will be able to carry on putting on the FCA shirt in the next few years. I want to help the team continue its path to success," said Jan Moravek.
"We have a special team spirit inside the dressing room and the club. The environment at the club is also brilliant, so I want to be a part of this community in the future. We want to further establish FCA as a Bundesliga club so that we can offer our fans top-flight football for future years in Augsburg," Janker said, explaining his reasons for extending his contract.
