Lucas Ehrlich joins SV Sandhausen on loan

Lucas Ehrlich has joined third-division side SV Sandhausen on an 18-month loan deal. The details of the loan will remain undisclosed.
The 20-year-old had joined FCA on a free from the Dynamo Dresden U23s in summer 2023, with the aim of first features for the club’s reserves before being integrated into the first team.
Ehrlich is still under contract at FCA until 30th June 2027, with the option to extend by an additional year. The purpose of the loan deal with Sandhausen is to provide him with regular match practice at a high level, in order for Ehrlich to continue his development.
Ehrlich has scored 10 goals in 44 competitive matches for the FCA U23s in the Regionalliga Bayern. The 1.95m-tall striker has also taken part in first-team training, as well as featuring for the side in friendlies. Ehrlich will now travel to Jerez, Spain to take part in a winter training camp with SV Sandhausen.
