Jozo Stanic signs professional contract

Another youth player has made the step up to the first team, with defender Jozo Stanic, an FC Augsburg player since U14s level, becoming the most recent youth talent to sign a professional contract with the club. The 19-year old was born in Augsburg has signed a four-year contract with FCA until 30th June 2022. The young defender has a German and Croatian passport and has already represented Croatia at youth level. “I am delighted to get the opportunity to be part of the FC Augsburg first team. Lots of youth players have made this jump in recent years and my goal is to follow in their footsteps,” said Jozo Stanic after signing his contract on Wednesday. “Jozo Stanic is another one of our youth players who we believe is capable of making the step up to the Bundesliga,” said Stefan Reuter, FCA sporting director. “We are very pleased that he wants to stay with us here in Augsburg to improve his development as a player.”
