First interview with Rani Khedira

The season has not been over long, but FCA have already confirmed their first new signing for the 2017/18 campaign. 23-year old Rani Khedira will join the club this summer after this contract with RB Leipzig expires. Khedira signed a four-year contract with FC Augsburg on Wednesday, lasting until the summer of 2021, and the defensive midfielder can barely wait to take on his new challenge with his new side. Rani, how does it feel to have signed your deal with FC Augsburg? Khedira: I feel very positive. I am delighted to be here. It feels great to have finally signed the deal and I am excited about my future with FC Augsburg. What made you choose FCA as your new club? Khedira: FCA have offered me a very good opportunity. I can play a lot of Bundesliga games here and the talks with people at FCA went very well, and that made me feel great about the idea of coming here. I am already looking forward tot he next Bundesliga season. I want to play a big role for FCA. Preparation for the new season begins on 3rd July. What will you do between now and then? Khedira: First of all I will fly to the USA for my holidays, and return on 25th June. Then I have a few days left to recover and prepare for the tasks ahead of me.
