Steve Mounié

Montpellier, Huddersfield and Stade Brest were the names of Steve Mounié's previous career stops. Since the summer of 2024, he has been at home in Augsburg, where he signed a contract until June 2027. 

“Steve Mounié is a physically robust attacker with a strong header who is particularly impressive with his skills in the opposition penalty area. Steve has experience at the highest European level and he should also be an important pillar for our team as a personality,” said FCA sporting director Marinko Jurendic, delighted with the signing of the attacker from Benin.

With 162 games in the French first division and 59 games in the Premier League, Mounié has a wealth of international experience. Also known as “Air Mounié” due to his powerful header, the captain of his national team is also looking forward to the Bundesliga: “It fills me with pride that my move to Augsburg will make me the first Benin international to play in three of Europe's top five leagues.”
