Stefan Reuter tests positive for COVID-19
Despite being fully vaccinated
FCA’s sporting director Stefan Reuter has tested positive for the Coronavirus despite being double vaccinated, and is currently quarantining at home. After experiencing symptoms, the club doctor arranged both a quick test and a PCR test, which confirmed the infection. Reuter is in close discussions with the Health Department regarding contact tracing.
Stefan Reuter’s most recent contact with the club came on Sunday November 6th, in the analysis of the match against VfL Wolfsburg. Even though the club has a 100% vaccination rate and further cases are unlikely due to the length of time since members of staff were in contact with him, the players still at the club over the international break and the coaching and backroom staff have also been tested with both quick and PCR tests. All these tests returned negative results.
“I’m thankful for the great care I have received from our club doctors. Right now I’m well on the road to recovery. However, I will of course stick to all the quarantine guidelines, before I return to work and get back in physical contact with people. I’m happy that our hygiene and precautionary measures have worked perfectly, as there are no further infections. Our vaccination rate of 100% is definitely a contributing factor to this, even if you cannot be 100% certain in preventing or hindering infection,” said Stefan Reuter.
