The U21 European Championship could not have gotten off to a better start for Marco Richter and Kevin Danso. The Austrian team beat Serbia 2-0, while the Germany side are top of Group B thanks to a 3-1 win against Denmark.

In the 27th minute, the Augsburg forward put the team in front after a deflected shot went in, and then doubled their lead in the second half to make it 2-0 (52’). Richter was also involved in the third goal, as he set up Luca Waldschmidt, who put the game to bed with his effort, making it 3-0. In the 73rd minute, the Danes were awarded a penalty for a handball, which ultimately meant that they got a consolation goal late on.
