One-game suspension for Robert Gumny
Defender was sent off on matchday 34
The German Football Association (DFB) has handed FCA defender Robert Gumny a one-match ban after his red card in the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Gumny received his marching orders for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity and the one-game suspension is the lowest possible punishment after a red card.
Gumny will therefore miss the opening game of the Bundesliga season on 18th-20th August but will be eligible for the first round of the DFB-Pokal, to be played between 11th and 14th August 2023. The club has acknowledged and accepted the DFB’s decision.
