Marcel Lubik, who was a substitute goalkeeper for FCA three times last season, is set to pick up some match practice out on loan next season. The 20-year-old, who joined the FC Augsburg academy in 2018 and has featured 47 times for our U23s in the Regionalliga Bayern, has joined Polish second-tier side GKS Tychy on loan for the 2024/25 season.

“I’ve learnt a lot over the last few years through training with the first team and playing for the U23s in the Regionalliga. It’s important though now for my development to get some match practice at a high level. That’s why I’m looking forward to this exciting challenge in my home country. I think this will help me develop both as a player and a person,” said Marcel Lubik, whose contract at FCA runs until 30th June 2026.

“We want to develop our young, talented players as much as possible and support them with their individual careers. This year-long loan to GKS Tychy is a great chance for Marcel to play as a first-choice goalkeeper at a high level and develop further in a professional league. We wish him all the best,” said FCA sporting director Marinko Jurendic.
