Claude-Maurice nominated for Player of the Month award

Alexis Claude-Maurice is up for February’s Bundesliga Player of the Month award thanks to some impressive recent performances. Alongside the FCA star, Jamal Musiala (FC Bayern München), Pascal Groß, Serhou Guirassy (both Borussia Dortmund), Tom Bischof (TSG Hoffenheim) and Kiliann Sildillia (SC Freiburg) have all additionally been nominated.
The DFL will award the title based upon votes from fans (40%), votes from clubs (30%) and votes from experts (30%). Chrislain Matsima also recently received a nomination, that being for January’s Rookie of the Month award.

Alexis Claude-Maurice played every minute of Augsburg’s February fixtures, consistently demonstrating the quality he possesses. His season’s tally of nine goals sees him top of the scorers’ charts at FCA. Perhaps his most memorable showing from the last month came in Mönchengladbach, when he bagged a hat-trick within the space of just 15 minutes to put his side on course for a 3-0 away win. In doing so, he became the first Augsburg player in history to score three goals in a single half of a Bundesliga match.
The Frenchman’s efficiency in front of goal is one of his most remarkable traits, netting thrice from just eight attempts on goal in February. Consequently, he registered a Shot Efficiency of +2.4 – the highest of any player last month.
