Frederik Winther joins FCA
Denmark youth international will join in summer 2021

On deadline day, FC Augsburg announced the signing of Frederik Winther. The 19-year-old defensive talent has signed a five-year deal until 2025. Winther will remain on loan at Danish first-division side Lyngby BK for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.
“I’m very proud that FC Augsburg will give me the chance to prove myself in the Bundesliga. The club is part of my long-term plans, and I see it as the perfect place for me to develop at. I will use this next year at Lyngby in order to continue my development in order to be ready to take on the challenge of the Bundesliga next year,” said Winther.
“We’re pleased that Frederik Winther chose FCA, despite there being interest from elsewhere. We are convinced that him staying in familiar surroundings for the next year will be a win-win situation for all those involved. We are looking forward to welcoming a very talented young player next summer, one with the ability to prove himself in the Bundesliga at FCA,” said sporting director Stefan Reuter.
