First training session complete in Schladming

FC Augsburg completed their first training session at the training camp in Schladming on Sunday. Travelling FCA fans also enjoyed their first day in Austria.
The players biked to SV Union Haus’ training ground in the morning to begin their recovery work after the Besiktas game on Saturday. Following that, the squad took part in a number of mini games, with the duos of Ermedin Demirović and Elvis Rexhbecaj and Arne Engels and Fredrik Jensen coming out on top.
The FCA players were cheered on by the travelling fans, who will be in Schladming until Tuesday. A family from Switzerland spotted the FCA flag at the hotel and then decided to watch training to see their countryman Ruben Vargas – and even got a photo.
Special moment in the team hotel
Andreas and his six-year-old son Erik enjoyed a special experience on Sunday. The FCA members took part in the “Mittendrin-Moment” competition and were invited as guests to the team hotel to eat with the squad.
Enrico Maaßen’s side will train twice on Monday ahead of a friendly against FC Kufstein on Tuesday.
