World Cup qualifiers and friendlies
Several FCA players were involved in fixtures on Monday and Tuesday as March’s international break came to an end.
World Cup qualification
Steve Mounié and Benin were beaten 2-0 by South Africa. The FCA striker played 86 minutes.
Samuel Essende was an unused substitute in DR Congo’s 2-0 away win against Mauritania.
Friendlies
Switzerland won 3-1 against Luxembourg, though Cédric Zesiger didn’t come off the bench after starting their previous game against Northern Ireland.
Fredrik Jensen, who played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 win over Malta, also didn’t feature in Finland’s 2-2 draw against Lithuania.
Youth internationals
Chrislain Matsima and France U21s won 4-0 in Slovakia. The FCA defender came on in the 64th minute.
Germany U20s drew 1-1 against Portugal to finish on top of the Elite League. Mert Kömür was brought on as a substitute after 70 minutes.
Noahkai Banks was on the pitch for the full game as USA U20s drew 1-1 against Japan.
