Clear commitment to the city: FCA unveils new away kit
Available now
For both FC Augsburg and the city of Augsburg, 8th August is a special day: on 8th August 1907, the predecessor club of FCA, FC Alemannia, was founded. Moreover, the Hohe Friedensfest, a unique and Augsburg-exclusive day celebrating peace, takes place yearly on 8th August. FCA has taken this opportunity to introduce our new away kit for the 2023/24 season, together with our supplier Mizuno.
After the home and third kits were presented in the branch of FCA exclusive partners VR-Bank Augsburg Handels- und Gewerbebank, as well as at the Augsburger Sommernächten festival at the end of July, certain FCA members, fan club representatives, FCA Women players and promising youngsters from the Paul-Renz-Akademie were drawn to catch a sneak peek at the new away kit – namely at the Goldener Saal, one of the most glamorous places in Augsburg. You can watch the best moments from this exclusive event, where FCA stars Mads Pedersen and Frederik Winther acted as kit ambassadors, in the video here.
The new away kit is a clear commitment to the city of Augsburg and represents not only diversity but also the cohesion between the fans and the club. The green shirt mirrors the club colours to help FCA feel at home even when away. As visual highlights, golden elements are incorporated onto the sleeves, the collars and the vertical stripes, which reflect the history of Augsburg. Our founding year of 1907, like in both other jerseys, is printed on the neck.
FCA chief executive Michael Ströll is very pleased with the result: “The away kit perfectly rounds off our first personalised range of kits with Mizuno and symbolises the connection with our city, our identity and our fans. The colour green is strongly anchored in our club colours and the golden elements also make a good match – therefore, we chose the Goldener Saal in Augsburg Town Hall as a symbolic location.”
All FCA fans can now secure the green away jersey in our online shop, and from Wednesday the kit will also be available at the FCA 1907 Store at Bahnhofstraße 7 and the fan shop at the WWK ARENA. The shirt costs €79.95 for adults and €54.95 for children.
