The FCA players are back from Italy and are currently preparing for the start of the competitive season in Augsburg. Before the cup tie in Unterhaching on Sunday 13th August at 15:30 CEST, new arrival Tim Breithaupt spoke about …
… the brief trip to Italy: “We did well, especially in the second game, considering that SSC Napoli are one of the best sides in Europe. All in all, it was a good trip and every player was able to get plenty of minutes on the pitch.”
… his first weeks in Augsburg: “I feel very happy here. The town is lovely and very similar to my hometown. We have a young team, which makes settling in even easier for a young player like me.”
… the reasons behind his move: “It was the right time for me to take the next step. I am looking forward to the new challenge in the Bundesliga. Additionally, the atmosphere surrounding the club appealed to me and highlighted that FCA is a great place for young players to continue developing as well as possible.”
… the cup game against Unterhaching: “I am expecting a typical cup game. We want to show that we are the Bundesliga side. It is all about progressing to the next round.”
… his ambitions for the new season: “We have a lot of potential and very ambitious players. We have a good mix within the squad. We worked really hard during pre-season and want to have a successful season.”
