Augsburg players on international duty
The second international break of the season is underway, and FC Augsburg have eight players representing their countries.
Alfred Finnbogason (54 caps/ 15 goals) is back in the Iceland national side after an injury layoff. Iceland will meet France (Friday, 11th October) and Andorra (Monday, 14th October) in European Championship qualifiers. Stephan Lichtsteiner (105 caps/ 8 goals) who is again called up for the Switzerland team, plays with the rest of the “Nati” against Denmark (Saturday, 12th October) and Ireland (Tuesday, 15th October).
Michael Gregoritsch (13 caps/ 2 goals) will meet up with the Austria squad to play Israel (Thursday, 10th October) and Slovenia (Sunday, 13th October). Tin Jedvaj (20 caps/ 2 goals) will play for Croatia against Hungary (10th October) and Wales (13th October). Fredrik Jensen (9 caps/ 3 goals) will play for Finland against Bosnia and Herzegovina (12th October) and Armenia (15th October).
Ruben Vargas (5 caps/ 2 goals) and the Switzerland U21s will play Georgia (11th October) and Azerbaijan (15th October). Sergio Cordova (8 caps/no senior goals) will play with the Venezuela U23s against Brazil (10th October) and Bolivia (15th October). Simon Asta (20 caps/ 0 goals) and the Germany U19s will meet Andorra (Wednesday 9th October), Belarus (12th October) and Scotland (15th October).
