2020/21 Bundesliga season to start on September 18th

The German Football Association (DFB) announced the schedule for the 2020/21 season on Friday afternoon. The upcoming Bundesliga season will begin on September 18th.
All three professional leagues start from the 18th (Friday) to the 21st of September (Sunday). The first round of the DFB-Pokal takes place a week earlier (September 11th to 14th).
Due to the late start of the 2020/21 season, the winter break has been shortened. Matchday 13 is scheduled for the weekend from December 18th to December 21st, 2020. Matchday 14 will start on the first weekend of 2021 (January 2nd and 3rd). Matchday 34 takes place on Saturday, May 22nd.
The DFB's plans are subject to change and can be adapted if necessary. The date when spectators will be allowed into stadiums is not yet confirmed.
