Fredrik Jensen

At the age of just 17, Fredrik Jensen left his native Finland to find his fortune as a professional footballer. At the age of 19, he made his breakthrough into the professional ranks at Dutch first division club Twente Enschede. The attacker has been wearing red, green and white since 2018. “FCA is a club where everyone stands up for everyone else and everyone supports each other,” he emphasizes. “It means a lot to me to be a part of it.”

Jensen's early days in Augsburg were marked by a lot of bad luck with injuries. It took almost a year and a half before the Finn scored his first Bundesliga goal for FCA. In December 2019, he scored in a 4:2 win at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, which he described as the “crowning glory of the evening”.

Sport is not only an important part of Jensen's life because of his profession; in addition to soccer, he is also interested in ice hockey. Although he regularly follows the Finnish national ice hockey team, his favorite athlete comes from a different sport: “I would buy a jersey from footballer Tom Brady, he's a world-class athlete.”
