Match practice in the 2. Bundesliga
After Maurice Malone got his first minutes for the first team in the DFB-Pokal, the 21-year-old has once again gone out on loan from FCA. The Augsburg-born player is heading to 1.FC Heidenheim of the 2. Bundesliga to further his development as best as possible. He is currently under contract to FC Augsburg until summer 2024 and recently spent time on loan at third-tier side SV Wehen Wiesbaden.
“Maurice Malone has come on well as a player in the last year and we believe he is capable of being a permanent squad member and playing for FCA in the Bundesliga in the coming years. We are convinced that playing in the 2. Bundesliga for Heidenheim will further his development,” commented Stefan Reuter, general manager for sport at FC Augsburg.
“The loan to Wiesbaden was very helpful for my progression as a player, but also as a person. I am looking forward to developing further over the course of this new loan, and then I hope to play for FCA in the Bundesliga. I look forward to the challenge at 1. FC Heidenheim,” added Maurice Malone.
