Investigation opened against FCA player

FC Augsburg have been informed that the Augsburg public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation against one of the club’s players.
The player is currently not taking part in training sessions or matchday operations with FC Augsburg. At this time, the club would like to make clear that the presumption of innocence applies to the player.
As the case is ongoing and concerns the player’s personal life, FC Augsburg cannot and may not comment further. FCA are also not permitted to share the player’s name for legal reasons.
