FCA welcomes Reece Oxford to the club
Augsburg FC have reinforced their ranks with a deadline day signing from the Premier League. The central defender in question, Reece Oxford, has been loaned from West Ham United for half a year (until 30th June 2019). The precise figures surrounding the deal are to remain confidential.
The 20 year old defender, who has been involved in every stage of the England youth team, returns to the Bundesliga having played for Borussia Mönchengladbach last season on a loan spell (eight matches).
"We’ve got a great player for FCA in Reece Oxford. He knows the Bundesliga well thanks to his year with Borussia Mönchengladbach and will surely not have any large difficulties adapting to the league here. He can therefore begin to help us pretty quickly," said Stefan Reuter, Executive Sporting Director of FCA:
"The Bundesliga is a very special league. I learnt that during my time with Borussia Mönchengladbach. I’m therefore looking forward to playing with Augsburg and get more Bundesliga games under my belt. I want to help and try to get as many points as possible during the coming weeks and hopefully have something great to celebrate at the end of the season," said Reece Oxford about his transfer.
