FC Augsburg have announced their first signing ahead of the 2025/26 season. Kyliane Dong is set to move to Augsburg on a free transfer from French second-division side ES Troyes AC. The winger has put pen to paper on a long-term contract until 2030.

Dong was born in Évry-Courcouronnes, located south of Paris, and has dual French and Cameroonian citizenship. He came up through the ranks of the Troyes academy and went on to feature a total of 57 times for the club’s first team (incl. 6 appearances in Ligue 1). He made his professional debut against HSC Montpellier at the age of 17. Dong can play in a variety of positions in attack and has featured three times for the France U20s to date.

“Our discussions were very positive right from the start and I’m looking forward to taking up this challenge in the Bundesliga and of being here. I really wanted to join Augsburg, as the club are ambitious and provide young players with the optimal conditions in which to continue their development. I will devote all my energy to this new challenge and can hardly wait to get to represent FCA from this summer on,” said Dong.

“We have followed Kyliane’s progress for a while now and are pleased that he will join FCA this summer. Currently a France U20 international, he possesses real athleticism and is a great dribbler. He has lots of potential and a lot of promising attributes that he can hopefully develop in order to become an established Bundesliga player. We are looking forward to working with him and wish Kyliane a good start and all the best at FCA,” said sporting director Marinko Jurendic.
