Felix Schwarzholz signs his first professional contract

FC Augsburg continue to support the growth of local youth talent by giving academy graduate Felix Schwarzholz his first professional contract. The 18-year-old midfielder, who has been part of the Augsburg academy since 2009, signed a contract on Tuesday running until 30th June 2022. “Felix Schwarzholz has virtually completed his preparations to become a professional footballer. He also participated in the pre-season training camp and showed there, that he is able to make the leap up to the Bundesliga,” said Augsburg sporting director Stefan Reuter. “Raphael Framberger, Marco Richter and Kevin Danso are all prime examples of how FCA use their academy players to full effect. I’m delighted that the Augsburg board view my development so positively and have put their confidence in me for the coming years. I would like to use this opportunity to make the leap into the Bundesliga and to play in the WWK Arena”, rejoiced Felix Schwarzholz after his signed his contract. Felix Schwarzholz was born on 24th September 1999 in Augsburg and follows Raphael Framberger, Jozo Stanic, Simon Asta (all from Augsburg) and Marco Richter (from Friedberg) as the fifth local talent in the FCA squad.
