Daniel Klein extends contract at FCA

Daniel Klein will remain at FC Augsburg for an additional season, with the 24-year-old goalkeeper extending his contract at the club until 30th June 2026.
The Heidelberg native joined the club from TSG Hoffenheim ahead of the 2021/22 season. In 2023/24, Klein was loaned to third-division outfit SV Sandhausen. He has primarily featured for the FCA reserves in the Regionalliga Bayern, making 22 appearances for the side to date.
“I’m delighted to be remaining at FC Augsburg. I feel very at home in this city as well as at the club, and I feel as though they will be able to provide me with the right support to continue my development,” Klein said.
“Daniel has been a key part of our goalkeeping team this season. He’s a reliable team player and a proven performer who continues to work hard to improve and use his skills to benefit the team. Extending his contract means we will continue to have a strong third option within our goalkeeping team and we’re looking forward to continuing to work together,” said FCA sporting director Marinko Jurendic.
