Baum: "One good half isn't enough"
"One good half isn't enough in the Bundesliga" were the words of Head Coach Manuel Baum after the loss to Hannover 96. Read all the reaction here.
Jeffrey Gouweleeuw: "It's hard to believe. We had so many chances in the first half and we could have been winning 3-0 or 4-0. In the second half, we stopped playing football and only played long balls forward which allowed Hannover back into the game."
Daniel Opare: "That's how it goes sometimes in football when you don't take your chances. We have to keep our heads high and stay focused for what is to come to get the points we deserve."
Michael Gregoritsch: "It's mystifying how we lost today. We were clearly the better side in the first half but we couldn't score. After they equalised, we lost our heads and we can't let that happen. We didn't deserve to lose today."
Daniel Baier: "We were dominant in the first half. The fact is that we should have been leading by two or three goals by half time. After the game, we were simply perplexed as to how we lost. At 1-1, we should have ensured we at least got a point and kept it tight at the back rather than letting the points slip away from us altogether."
Manuel Baum: "We're frustrated with how the game played out. We had several big chances in the first half but didn't take them. The second half was fairly even but we gifted away two easy goals and have to learn from that. One good half isn't enough in the Bundesliga."
André Breitenreiter: "In the first half, we weren't good enough. FCA were very strong. They put us under pressure and didn't give away any chances. In the second half, we reacted and found a way back into the game. We aren't sorry for the win as last week we also gave away two points in the dying minutes of the game."
