Academy product Henri Koudossou extends contract

Henri Koudossou will remain at FC Augsburg beyond this season. The 25-year-old FCA academy product has triggered an automatic extension until 30th June 2026 due to his impressive development and regular involvement in the team.
Koudossou has had a remarkable journey. The versatile full-back worked his way into the first team after spending time with the FCA U23s, as well as on loan at Lustenau and Den Haag. He made his Bundesliga debut in the 3-1 home win over FC St. Pauli in September. Koudossou has made 16 competitive appearances so far this season and made himself a regular fixture in the matchday squad.
“Henri has developed brilliantly and taken his opportunity. He’s a team player who has been able to use his dynamism to good effect at the highest level, and has earned his place in the squad with some very good performances. This is exactly the path that we want our academy products and ambitious players to follow,” said FCA sporting director Marinko Jurendic.
Henri Koudossou is also delighted to be extending his contract. “It’s a great feeling to be continuing my journey with FCA. My Bundesliga debut in particular was a moment that I will never forget. Now, I need to keep giving everything and earn myself some more matches in the first team. I’m desperate to pay back the trust the club has put in me.”
