Daniel Klein

Daniel Klein began his career at VfB St. Leon. In the D-youth, he moved to FC-Astoria Walldorf. The Heidelberg native later continued his training at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, where he signed his first professional contract in 2020. He made his debut for the Kraichgau club's U19s in the Youth League at the age of 17. He also played for various junior national teams at the DFB.

Klein made a name for himself in the UEFA Youth League, among others. With Hoffenheim, he beat Dynamo Kiev 4:2 on penalties in 2019 to qualify for the quarter-finals against Real Madrid. Klein was the match winner, saving two penalties. “It's a great feeling to help the team like that,” said the goalkeeper after the match.
