Cédric Zesiger
FC Augsburg are loaning Cédric Zesiger from VfL Wolfsburg until the end of the season. The 1.94-metre central defender brings Bundesliga and European Cup experience with him. Robust, strong in duels and vocal: that is the motto of the tall Swiss when it comes to his style of play. Zesiger describes himself as an aggressive defender: “I love tackles and I'm loud on the pitch.”
Zesiger was trained in Switzerland at Neuchatel Xamax and Grasshoppers Zurich. He made his breakthrough at Young Boys Bern, where he not only won three league titles, but also appeared in the Champions League. In 2023, he moved to VfL Wolfsburg, for whom he played in the Bundesliga. Now he wants to bring his strengths to Augsburg.
