Next season begins in Düsseldorf

On Friday afternoon, the DFL published the fixture schedule for the 2018/19 Bundesliga season. Augsburg kick things off on the weekend 25th/26th August with a trip to newly-promoted Fortuna Düsseldorf. Manuel Baum’s men will then play their first home game the following weekend against Borussia Mönchengladbach. The exact dates and times for the fixtures will be confirmed in the coming weeks. "To start the season against a newly-promoted side, especially when they’re in front of their home fans is not easy, but we’re not disappointed with the fixture," said FCA head coach Manuel Baum about his team’s opener in Düsseldorf. "Gladbach was also our first home game last season, so we have the experience there," he commented. FCA travel to Wolfsburg on the last day of the season (Saturday, 18th May 2019 at 15:30 CEST).
