With preparations for the European Championships underway, two FC Augsburg players were part of the friendly action this weekend. Fredrik Jensen and Finland suffered a defeat, while Ruben Vargas and Switzerland celebrated a win.
Jensen's side lost 2-0 in Sweden, with Mainz's Robin Quaison (22') and Sebastian Larsson (58') getting on the scoresheet. Jensen was subbed on at the hour mark, but was unable to turn the game around.
Ruben Vargas was on the bench as Switzerland beat the USA, 2-1. Sebastian Lletget (5') put the US ahead early on, before goals from Ricardo Rodriguez (10') and Frankfurt's Steven Zuber (63') saw them come back to win.
