Jeffrey Gouweleeuw: “We were in the game in the first half, but we didn’t take our chances and ended up going into the break 1-0 down. The second half started badly and we weren’t able to stop the goals coming in. The goals we let in were too easy. We have to be positive now and do better next week.”
Alfred Finnbogason: „“The first half was fine, but it was a lot harder after we conceded those quick goals. It took us a while to get used to being three-nil down, but we just couldn’t snap out of it. Losing by five is too many, but we didn’t expect such a game.”
Martin Schmidt: “The first half was pretty decent, we had two or even three good chances, but then we conceded and went into the break 1-0 down. We talked during the break about playing better and turning the game in our favour, but then we lost our nerve and couldn’t find our normal form. Then the second half happened.”
Adi Hütter: “I think that over 90 minutes it was a fully deserved victory. We have to thank Kevin Trapp for the first half, he was very important. The second goal was the key to the win, and after that we showed good interplay and defended well. I’m proud that we won 5-0.”
