Midfielder Moritz Leitner is moving from FC Augsburg to Norwich City for the upcoming season. Leitner has been playing for the Championship side on loan since January. Both clubs wish to keep the details of the transfer private.
Leitner, who was FC Augsburg for the promotion to the Bundesliga in the 2010-11 season, moved back to FCA from Lazio in January 2017 and played six Bundesliga games for the club.
“I’d like to thank those responsible at FC Augsburg for allowing me to make the move to Norwich. I’ve found my feet really well in the last half a year here and I’d like to continue my successful start in England. I wish FCA all the best for the upcoming season,” says Leitner.
“Together with Norwich City, we’ve found a suitable deal for all parties and we’ve granted Moritz Leitner’s request to remain at Norwich City. We wish Moritz all the best for the future and we hope he remains injury-free,” says sporting director Stefan Reuter.
