“I’m really satisfied to come away with a point today and to end this busy period of football with seven points, five games unbeaten, and three clean sheets in our last four games,” said head coach Manuel Baum when asked about his team’s recent performances. Philipp Max: “Eleven points from six games is a sensational return for us. We’re undefeated in our last five games, and we want to try and continue that run in the next few weeks.”
Rani Khedira: “Chances were few and far between for both sides. I had a great chance on a plate for me just before the half, but unfortunately I couldn’t capitalise. All in all the draw was probably the right result, and to have eleven points right now feels great. It was another disciplined team performance.”
Alfred Finnbogason: “It was a very close game, and we played very well defensively. We could have done much better on the attack however. It’s important that we continue this run that we’re on, because we want to show the league that we belong in this division.”
Gojko Kacar: “We put in a good performance today, and the coach’s tactics played out well. We were lacking that killer instinct a little bit though, but we can go home satisfied with the point.”
Manuel Baum: “I’m really satisfied to come away with a point today and to end this busy period of football with seven points, five games unbeaten, and three clean sheets in our last four games. Our rising team spirit and confidence has meant that we’re playing really calmly – it’s great to see. You could see today that the heavy workload over the last week was having an impact by the end, although we did have two great chances through Finnbogason and Khedira to win the game.”
Hannes Wolf: “The draw was the right result today. We benefitted from a bit of luck and our fantastic goalkeeper when Augsburg caught us on the counter. We didn’t get any clear cut chances ourselves, but I was satisfied with the team’s performance as a whole.”
