Julian Günther-Schmidt has left FCA’s training camp in Mals (South Tyrol) early. The centre-forward, who was loaned out to third division side FC Carl Zeiss Jena last season, will return on loan for another year.
The 23-year-old transfers to Jena on loan. Both clubs have decided not to disclose the details of the deal.
“We see the potential Julian has to make the leap into the Bundesliga. He improved considerably in Jena last season. It’s now very important that he keeps up his match practice to continue moving in the right direction”, said FCA sporting director Stefan Reuter. “We wish him all the best and hope that his second season away will be as successful as the first.”
“Last year in Jena did me a lot of good. I had the chance to rack up a lot of match practice and a gain a lot of experience. So I’m glad that another loan period was agreed for me in Jena”, Julian Günther-Schmidt said about his second year in Jena colours.
