FC Augsburg have extended Raphael Framberger’s contract. The 21-year-old right-back, who is currently recovering from a knee injury, signed a four-year deal that will keep him at the club until June 2021.
“Raphael is a real home-grown talent from Augsburg, who made a very impressive Bundesliga debut in the victory away at Wolfsburg this season. He has been with the club twelve years and has come through all the youth teams, so we are absolutely delighted that he sees his future at FCA,” said Stefan Reuter, sporting director at FCA.
“I’m really pleased to have been given this trust by the coach and the rest of the staff. It was great to get my first ever appearance in the Bundesliga this season. That shows me that I have future prospects at FCA and am heading in the right direction,” said Raphael Framberger. “I am currently working hard on my rehabilitation so that I can return to fitness as soon as possible.”
