The 2018/19 Bundesliga season may have come to a conclusion, but the season isn’t over yet for four FC Augsburg players. The FCA quartet will feature for their respective countries in friendlies, Euro 2020 qualifiers as well as the U21s European Championship.

Germany U21s will face a South Tyrol XI in the Italian alpine town of Natz on Friday, 7th June before facing Poland U21s behind closed doors on Monday, 10th June.
If included in the final 23-man squad, Richter and Germany U21s will kick off their European Championship campaign against Denmark in Udine on 17th June (21:00 CEST). Stefan Kuntz’s side will then face Serbia in Trieste on 20th June (21:00 CEST) before finishing the group stage against Austria in Udine on 23rd June (21:00 CEST). The three group winners and the highest ranked runner-up will progress to the semi-finals.

Austria will face France U21s in Hartberg on 11th June (18:45 CEST) in a final friendly to prepare for the tournament. In their final group match, Danso could face his Augsburg teammate Richter in a match that could decide which team progresses to the semi-finals.
While Danso represents the U21s side, Michael Gregoritsch has been called up to the senior Austria for their two upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers. After defeats to Poland and Israel in their opening qualifying matches, Gregoritsch and his teammates will hope to get their campaign back on track with victories against Slovenia at home in Klagenfurt (Friday, 7th June – 20:45 CEST) and away in Skopje against North Macedonia three days later (Monday, 10th June – 20:45 CEST).
