As 2018 draws to a close, we look back on some memorable FC Augsburg moments throughout the year. Today in our end of year review: February.
FCA welcomed Eintracht Frankfurt to the WWK ARENA for their first home match following the administrative move to the stadium. The new FCA fan pub and fan shop were also opened before the match.
FCA went on to secure an impressive 3-0 home victory against Frankfurt. Substitute Marco Richter score his first Bundesliga in just his second appearance. Ja-Cheol Koo and Michael Gregoritsch were also on the scoresheet.
FCA take a point home from Dortmund
FC Augsburg failed to take a point in both of their next two matches. FCA fell to a 2-0 defeat away at RB Leipzig before Stuttgart took all three points in the WWK ARENA (1-0). On matchday 24, FCA faced Borussia Dortmund away from home in an unusual Monday night clash. Only 54,300 fans were in attendance in the Signal-Iduna-Park and the visitors fell behind early. However, FCA improved after the break and drew level through Kevin Danso, taking a deserved point home from Westphalia.
