Michael Gregoritsch will not join his FC Augsburg teammates for training on Thursday and will not be in the squad for the game against Hertha BSC on Sunday, 24th November (15:30 CET). His exclusion will end on Tuesday, 26th November.
The Austria international has also received a fine. The club’s management and head coach took this disciplinary action together in response to damaging statements made by the forward about the club last week. Sporting director Stefan Reuter made the announcement on Thursday.
“The behaviour and comments made by Michael Gregoritsch are unacceptable in a team sport. His statements have raised serious doubts about his commitment to FC Augsburg. He now has time to think about his actions over the coming days,” said Stefan Reuter.
