FC Augsburg are in the Bundesliga for a seventh consecutive year. In order to prepare in the best possible way for the 2017/18 season, Manuel Baum and his team have decided to, once again, carry out a training camp in the holiday region Obervinschgau (South Tyrol).
Augsburg will start their pre-season training on Monday 3rd July with an open testing day. Two days later, on Wednesday 5th July, the team will set off for a ten day training camp in South Tyrol. FCA used the training base to prepare for last season and had enjoyed excellent conditions in northern Italy.
Stefan Reuter, Augsburg’s sporting director had this to say about the scheduled training camp: “We had a very good experience in Mals last year and therefore, we are convinced that we will be able to prepare for the all-important competitive matches there with total concentration again this year.” The tourist association of the Mals community has proven itself to be a competent partner, which is why we would like to return to South Tyrol.
Information regarding potential friendly matches at the training camp or at other times during pre-season will be released by FCA in due course.
