On Wednesday, the German Football League (DFL) announced the exact timings for the opening six matchdays of the 2019/20 Bundesliga season. FC Augsburg will begin their ninth consecutive season in the top flight with a trip to last season’s runners up Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, 17th August (15:30 CEST). FCA’s first home match of the season will kick off a week later at 15:30 CEST as the Fuggerstädter host newly promoted Union Berlin (Saturday, 24th August).
On matchday three, FCA will travel to SV Werder Bremen on Sunday, 1st September (15:30 CEST). The next three Augsburg matches all kick off at 15:30 CEST on a Saturday afternoon including the home matches against Eintracht Frankfurt (14th September) and Bayer Leverkusen (28th September). In between these two matches in the WWK ARENA, the Fuggerstädter will travel to SC Freiburg (21st September).
