FC Augsburg managed to pick up a point in Leipzig on Saturday. Head coach Manuel Baum spoke to the press on Monday ahead of the upcoming game against Hannover 96.
… on the draw in Leipzig: “The point in Leipzig isn’t to be taken for granted. We definitely decided to fight until we dropped. Now it’s about taking that good mental attitude into the next game.”
… on Georg Teigl: “Basically we need everyone in the squad. Georg is a really good player, he’s quick, he can defend superbly, and he’s proved that in the last two games.”
… on possible returnees: “Jeffrey Gouweleeuw and Alfred Finnbogason were able to do some light training. Jan Morávek was back on the pitch today. André Hahn and Marco Richter are also options again.”
… on the game against Hannover: “Their game against Hannover showed that they give a lot. Coming back from 0-2 down against Leverkusen isn’t to be taken for granted, so it’ll be an exciting game. We can’t go into the next game just assuming it’ll be the same as the last two. Under no circumstances can we get naive now, the attitude has to be the same, but they’ll be different key points. We played defensively against Dortmund and Leipzig, but we’ll probably have to do more with the ball aginst Hannover.”
