South Korea were then punished for not taking their chances as Abdulaziz Hatem scored from 28 metres out to give the underdogs a precious lead. South Korea did create one further chance to score as Ui-Jo Hwang’s goal was correctly disallowed by the Video Assistant referee in the closing stages. However, South Korea couldn’t get back into the match and exit the tournament at the quarter-final stage.
